Women Warned Against Dangerous New Trend To ‘Tighten Their Vagina’

The latest trend designed to ‘tighten’ a woman’s vagina is so sinister, doctors are warning people of serious health repercussions.

There are all sorts of weird and worrying ways on the market – and indeed on the black market – encouraging women to alter their private parts, in some shape or form which is wholly disturbing.

The newest trend in ‘self-surgery’ to sweep across the globe sees women having to look to some not-so friendly members of the insect world.

Women are now injecting wasp eggs into their delicate areas, in a bid to ‘rejuvenate’ their vaginas.

This new ‘technique’ involves grinding up oak galls – which are like nests encasing wasp eggs – and inserting them into their private parts, in the hopes of tightening things up after childbirth and ‘cleaning out’ the vagina.

Dr Jen Gunter – a gynaecologist from Canada – was so shocked she wrote a blog outlining why the whole concept is ridiculous.

She said:

Drying the vaginal mucosa increases the risk of abrasions during sex (not good) and destroys the protective mucous layer (not good). It could also wreak havoc with the good bacteria. In addition to causing pain during sex it can increase the risk of HIV transmission.

This is a dangerous practice with real potential to harm.

Here’s a pro-tip, if something burns when you apply it to the vagina it is generally bad for the vagina.

The pellets – known as ‘Herbal Womb Detox Pearls’ – are being sold across the world by an American company called Embrace Pangaea and even have outlets on popular online marketplace Etsy.

The site advises women to use three ‘bags’ of their products at a time, placing them inside the vagina for 72 hours, in a bid to ‘cleanse the womb and return it to a balance[d] state’ by allegedly removing toxins.

On top of this, the site proposes, these ‘nests’ can help with conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, thrush and fibroids and claims that by tightening the womb, the vaginal canal will shrink and ‘result in heightened sexual pleasure.’

However, the doctor slams this as ineffective and closed her blog, saying:

So don’t put dried up wasp’s nest in your vagina. I feel pretty confident in offering that up as medical advice and for goodness sake don’t tell Paltrow. She let bees sting her face so she might be all over vaginal vespatherapy.

Sounds pretty horrific. Do not try this at home. Ever.
