A teenage beauty queen live streamed her own tragic death during a booze fuelled car ride in Ukraine.
Sofia Magerko, 16, and friend Daria Medvedeva, 24, were both killed when their vehicle spun out of control and crashed into a lamppost.
Sofia, who had won a beauty contest in her hometown of Izyum in eastern Ukraine died instantly following the collision.
Watch as the pair speed through the pitch black road, bottles in hand, laughing, just moments before tragedy strikes and the video ominously turns to black as they collide with the post.
Daria, who was behind the wheel, also died while on her way to hospital, according to reports.
You can see the video below. WARNING – Contains distressing images:
People close to the crash can allegedly be heard saying of the horror: “Fuck, there is a dead body there… another one fell out of the car,” while someone else can be heard alerting an ambulance.
It’s the latest in a series of incidents occurring during live streams. In April Steve Stephens filmed himself murdering 74-year-old Robert Godwin on Facebook Live.
Last month, a young Finnish couple streamed their deaths to Facebook when they filmed themselves crashing their car off a road while drunk driving.
Founder Mark Zuckerberg recently spoke out about the tragedies on his own Facebook page.
If we’re going to build a safe community, we need to respond quickly.
We’re working to make these videos easier to report so we can take the right action sooner – whether that’s responding quickly when someone needs help or taking a post down.
Such a terrible incident, but it serves as an extremely sobering reminder to always drive responsibly.
